Economy and Energy Minister Peter Dimitrov met the European Coordinator of the project NABUCCO
Sofia, Bulgaria - Economy and Energy Minister Peter Dimitrov met the European Coordinator of the project NABUCCO Johannes van Aartsen. The gas pipeline is one of the four priority EU power projects and the European Commission nominated Johannes van Aartsen for coordinator in order to accelerate the work on the project.
At his meeting with Johannes van Aartsen, Dimitrov reiterated Bulgaria's support for the project. We expect Johannes van Aartsen to clearly define the existing political, administrative, legal difficulties in the implementation process of the project, said Minister Dimitrov.
Economy and Energy Minister Peter Dimitrov has okayed in principle the inclusion of two more companies in the NABUCCO gas pipeline project. The two companies in question are Gaz de France and the German company RWE, who are to join Nabucco Gas Pipeline International comprising the Bulgarian Bulgargaz company, OMV of Austria, the Romanian partners, Botas of Turkey and MOL of Hungary.
